Slovenia is a small country of boutique wines characterised by remarkable diversity spreading from the Alps to the Adriatic Coast and all in between. Slovenian wines are distinguished above all by their natural harmonious flavours and natural production. Wine in Slovenia is produced in small quantities with lots of touch and care and most importantly in very small quantities. Take a wine tour and fall in love with Slovenian wines.

This tour will be a great introduction into Slovenian long tradition of producing wines. First it will start with private wine tasting in 300-year old cellar with local passionate sommelier who will introduce us with some of the greatest varieties of Slovenian authentic sorts of wine. In the next two days, we will be exploring two main wine regions on our own. We will have a private countryside wine tour to family-run winemakers and try their best wines alongside with local home made deliacies.

The unique climate in the Vipava Valley produces a host of classic whites, including Rebula, Sauvignon, Malvazija, La
ki Rizling and Chardonnay and a wide variety of splendid reds, such as Merlot, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon and Modri Pinot. However, what makes this area particularly special are its rare, autochthonous wines. Thanks to the perseverance of local producers and the adoption of modern production methods, many rare and ancient grape varieties have been re-established. This is the home, for example, of the exquisite Zelen and Pinela grapes.
